project_OperationHungerOperation Hunger works towards improving the health and nutritional status of children, the sick, the elderly and the poverty prone households in the seven Regions of South Africa.


The Organisation promotes sustainable self-help projects which contribute towards improving the quality of life.



 

Operation Hunger’s activities include the following:

  • Targeted Food Support through community-based feeding programs
  • Water Supply programmes
  • Wellness Programs which promote behavioural changes that improve household health
  • Agricultural Production and Income Generation Programmes
  • HIV and TB projects

Iqraa Trust’s grant of R 100 000 will assist Operation Hunger to establish a feeding programme and a communal garden to serve as an income generating project for the poverty stricken residents of Crossroads in Cape Town.

Assisting Students Financially by Providing Interest Free Loans and Bursaries
